💸 Money & workHow to make money in Lagos Life
Compare base shift pay with business ownership, and plan around your weekly costs.
Start with scheduled work
Careers give you a clear base-pay progression across five levels. For example, Tech begins with an Intern earning ₦9,900 per full shift and reaches CTO at ₦76,500. Music starts at ₦7,400 and reaches ₦99,000 at Afrobeats Giant.
Compare base pay per scheduled hour as well as weekly base pay. The hourly comparison is a way to compare full shifts; it does not mean you are paid by the hour.
Measure what is left after expenses
A high salary means less if your housing and daily expenses absorb it. Reserve weekly rent and estimate seven days of food and transport expenses before calling the rest disposable income.
The salary calculator gives a gross planning estimate. It excludes tax, bonuses and special circumstances, so leave a cushion.
Treat a business as an investment
Business ownership requires money up front and has ongoing costs. A Recharge & Data Kiosk costs ₦150,000; a Zobo & Chapman Stand costs ₦300,000.
Business income is variable, and bad days can reduce your earnings. Compare the income range with operating costs before purchasing. A revenue range is not a guaranteed profit.
Game rules and prices may change. Check your current in-game options before spending.
