How rent works in Lagos Life

Weekly rent, move-in costs and how to plan before upgrading your home.

Rent is a weekly expense

Regular rent is checked on Saturday from 09:00 in game time. Keep the weekly amount available in addition to anything already owed.

When you have rent debt, the game directs you to Phone → Bank to pay it. Outstanding rent can put your home at risk, so keep a buffer rather than budgeting to the last naira.

Budget three weeks of rent to move

The standard move-in cost consists of two weeks of rent in advance and an agent fee equal to one week of rent. For a home costing ₦2,400 per week, that is ₦7,200 before other purchases.

Advance rent can cover the first two weeks. Your circumstances may affect who pays rent or the amount charged, so check what the game shows before confirming a move.

Compare your income with the whole budget

Choose your career and level in the rent calculator, then compare savings, weekly rent and other weekly spending. The tool estimates full shifts needed to cover the standard move-in cost.

A move-in target only tells you whether you can pay up front. Make sure your recurring weekly income also covers ongoing expenses.

Game rules and prices may change. Check your current in-game options before spending.
